Silvertips Battle U.S. Division Foes this Week

Everett, WA - The Everett Silvertips will start facing off against U.S. Division opponents starting Wednesday night as they battle the Spokane Chiefs at the Everett Events Center. Everett will then travel to Kennewick to take on the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night. The Silvertips are coming into this week with a 1-2 record and look to move over the .500 mark this week.

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
The Silvertips are led in scoring by Zach Hamill (1 goal, 5 assists) with 6 points. John Lammers (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jason Fransoo (1 goal, 3 assists) are tied for 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 4 points. Lammers leads the Silvertips with 3 goals and Hamill leads the hockey club with 5 assists. Defenseman Jason Fransoo leads all Silvertips defensemen in points with 4. Fransoo is currently tied for 5th among all WHL defensemen in scoring.

SILVERTIPS POINT STREAKS
John Lammers has already tied the Silvertips franchise record for the longest goal streak with 3. The Langley, BC native has scored a goal in the first three games of the season. Port Coquitlam, BC native, Zach Hamill is currently on a 3-game assist streak with 5 assists in the first three games this season.

SILVERTIPS SPECIALTY TEAMS
The Silvertips are currently 1st in the WHL on the power play (7 for 19, 36.8%) and 18th in the WHL on the penalty kill (12 for 16, 75.0%).

WHL SCORING IS UP
After 40 WHL games last season, 206 goals were scored compared to 254 goals scored this season after 40 WHL games. Shutouts have been down considerably this season after 40 games. This season WHL goaltenders have posted 2 shutouts after 40 games compared to 15 shutouts last season.

SILVERTIPS VERSUS THE U.S. DIVISION
The Silvertips are 40-19-12-1 all-time against the U.S. Division. The Silvertips are 24-13-5 all-time against U.S. Division foes at the Everett Events Center and 16-16-7-1 on the road against the U.S. Division. Last season, the Silvertips 13-5-2 at home against the U.S. Division.

SILVERTIPS VERSUS THE SPOKANE CHIEFS
The Silvertips are 11-6-1 all-time against the Spokane Chiefs and 6-3 against the Chiefs all-time at the Everett Events Center. Last season Everett went a perfect 5-0 against Spokane at the Everett Events Center.

SILVERTIPS VERSUS THE TRI-CITY AMERICANS
The Silvertips are 7-10-4 all-time against the Tri-City Americans and 4-6-1 all-time at the Three Rivers Coliseum in Kennewick.

Also the new and improved Everett Silvertips Hockey Show will be broadcasted live from the food court at the Everett Mall. The Silvertips invite all fans to attend every Monday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the Everett Silvertips Hockey Show at the Everett Mall.
