Broncos Trade Their Captain

The Swift Current Broncos announce today that they were involved in a 4-player deal with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Broncos have traded away team captain, 20 year-old Tyler Redenbach to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
In exchange for Redenbach the Broncos have acquired 17 year-old defenceman, R.J. Larochelle, 18 year-old forward, David Murray and 20 year-old Justin Cruse. R.J. Larochelle will be returning home, he is originally from Swift Current, SK, he was a 2002 WHL Bantam Draft pick by the Hurricanes.
The 6'2", 186 pound defenceman was in his second season with the Hurricanes. In 32 games this season, Larochelle had 6 assists and 35 penalty minutes with the Hurricanes. David Murray, a native of Edmonton, AB, is a 6'1", 162 pound forward who has played in 34 games this season. He has 3 goals and 6 points with 37 penalty minutes.
20 year-old Justin Cruse hails from Rosthern, SK and was acquired by the Hurricanes earlier this season from the Prince Albert Raiders. Cruse is 5'11", 180 pounds and plays left wing. He has appeared in 42 games, collecting 6 goals and 11 points.
Broncos GM/Head Coach, Dean Chynoweth said, "We felt it was in the best interests of our team to move Tyler at this time. We were able to pick up R.J, a local player who is a real character guy on the back end. Up front, in Justin Cruse we have a 20 year-old to bring some character to the team. David Murray is a hard working forward who adds to our depth." He added, "Obviously moving a player of Tyler's calibre is difficult. We thank him for his efforts while in a Broncos uniform and wish him all the best in Lethbridge."
