Tyler Plante is giving the Wheaties a chance to win the game. Hitmen outshooting the Wheaties just over 2-1 in the third (33-15) but the Wheaties have scored twice in the third to tie the game at 3. Its the first time this season that the Hitmen have allowed a goal in the 3rd.

Darryl Moscaluk just scored. 4-3 Hitmen!!

Great win tonight. It really tested the character after blowing the 2 goal lead. 7-0 to start the season! Tough weekend with 3 games in 3 nights in Saskatchewan. GO HITMEN!

Dangerous game. They clearly went in thinking this one would be easy, and nearly blew it as a result.

Hewett really did us a favor by taking two stupid penalties - one for obstruction, then another for roughing after he threw a punch trying to get a Hitmen player to go to the box with him. Whined and pulled a misconduct as well. Two powerplay goals later, the Hitmen were up 3-1.

Plante was very good. Once the Hitmen found themselves, they could have easily won this one by a good three or four goals but for the Wheaties goalie.

Moscaluk had a fantastic game, including two great goals. I'm still not impressed with Vantuch.

As usual, the referee (Savage) let the game get out of hand late. Hopefully Kisio slaps Brett Sonne upside the head, as he gave Plante a really big hack late in the third, with the ref staring right at it. Any competent official would have called such an obvious penalty. Sonne was given a pretty good crosscheck almost immediately, which Savage ultimately ignored as well. After that, the final two minutes were constant cheapshots from both sides, ending with Brandon's Leblanc drilling a Hitman player from behind at the final buzzer. Good on Dupont to fight the little twit afterward.

Ryan Reaves threw a couple good punches at the Hitmen player Leblanc attacked as well - from the bench. Obviously the ref saw it, as he was given a game misconduct, so I would expect that this clown will be suspended.
