Calgary, AB -- The Western Hockey League today conducted its 20-year-old Cut-down draft.

The Medicine Hat Tigers selected 20-year-old forward Kyle Annesley from the Everett Silvertips in the lone selection of the draft.

Tigers Select Annesley in 20 Year Old Cut Down Draft

Everett, WA – October 13th, 2005: The Medicine Hat Tigers have selected Silvertips forward Kyle Annesley in the 20 Year Old Draft earlier today. Annesley was the lone selection in the draft.

The Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan native was acquired by the Silvertips last November in a trade with the Swift Current Broncos. In 51 games with Everett, Annesley added 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points. In two games with the Silvertips this season, Annesley posted 2 goals. The Silvertips will battle Annesley and the Medicine Hat Tigers in a few weeks on November 8, in Medicine Hat.

The Silvertips currently have 23 players on the roster (2 goalies, 8 defensemen, 13 forwards) with Torrie Wheat, Mark Kress and Shaun Heshka as the three 20 year olds.

The Silvertips will be back in action on Sunday, October 16 against the Kamloops Blazers at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, BC. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. Next home game for the Silvertips will be Tuesday, October 18, against the Saskatoon Blades at the Everett Events Center.
