Calgary, AB -- The Western Hockey League today conducted its 20-year-old Cut-down draft.

The Medicine Hat Tigers selected 20-year-old forward Kyle Annesley from the Everett Silvertips in the lone selection of the draft.

His stats certainly don't impress. I'm not talking about his point total either, I'm referring to his abysmal plus/minus. But what the hell, they got him for nothing. -8 in 51 games with the defencive minded 'Tips speaks volumes.

I think he was a great asset to our team, he can be very intense and physical, a good battler in the corners. Hope he helps you guys.

It looks like he has started the season strong so far...Lets hope he can provide some leadership...who knows..maybe he can score goals in the shootouts too...LOL.
