I've been thinking of heading up to Vancouver on Friday to see the Tips play the Giants. Game starts at 7:30 but I won't be able to get out of Mount Vernon until around 5:00. Given the border and traffic, in your opinion do you think I might have a chance to make it on time? Also, I've never been to Pacific Coliseum. Is it easy to find?

I'd appreciate your input. Thanks.

Thanks for that - it was very helpful. Did a Mapquest search on the mileage from the address you gave and it's 77 miles from my house to the Pacific Coliseum. Should be able to make that easily if the border crossing isn't too busy. And Gordy Howe night sounds outstanding. I believe I'll order my tickets online tonight.

Thanks again. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/Rooselk/Graemlins/G-Thumbsup2.gif

I would not take the way the directions on the map show. I would take the truck crossing and go up Hwy 15 to Hwy 1, take Hwy 1 til you hit Hastings and take the exit go up to the top of the exit take a left and PNE grounds are on your right.

I can tell you from going to many Giants games in the past (was a second home for me the first 2 season they were around!) that you can be stuck on HWY 1 in traffic on a Friday for hours until you get the Port Mann Bridge.

I wish you luck! Maybe you will get lucky and not have traffic!

Sorry Kristi, but I would prefer to go Interstate 5 to HWY 99 to Knight St Bridge,Marine drive to Boundary,to Hastings to Renfrew.
You will get way less traffic congestion this way... :thumb:

I agree with Rinkrat

Only reason i dont go that route is because i live 5 min from Highway 1 and its much easier.

Traffic can be a nightmare on hwy 1 leading to the Port Mann Bridge, especially on fridays
