Broncos Announce Champions Executive
..
The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce that the Champions Executive was voted in and accepted at the last Champions meeting on October 4th. The following members will act as this years executive council:
President - Aaron Oviatt
Vice President - Brad Gourlay
Treasurer - Sheldon Fowler

The Champions organization was founded late last season as a group of individuals working along side the Broncos to assist in developing and executing new fundraising projects throughout the year, and aid in current marketing initiatives.

"On behalf of the newly formed Champions board and the general membership of the group, I would like to thank the Swift Current Broncos for the venue they have given Bronco fans to help ensure that our team stays in our community," commented Champions President Aaron Oviatt. "We look forward to fundraising initiatives, a season ticket sales push, and improving the atmosphere in the rink along with anything else we can do to ensure that Bronco Hockey remains in Swift Current."

Broncos GM/Head Coach Dean Chynoweth had this to say about the Champions: "The Champions are a very important part of our organization. Over the past year the Champions group came up with several fresh new ideas that we were able to implement immediately in our building which are now a part of all home games," said Chynoweth. "The nice part about this group is that it is made up of people that have a general interest and passion for hockey. The Champions now feel that they can also assist the club by providing some fund raising initiatives that will help maintain the long-term viability of the franchise in Southwest Saskatchewan. We look forward to our relationship and increasing the awareness and support for our Broncos."

Great idea. We also have Champions of the ICE in Cranbrook, they have increased season ticket sales and have provided tickets for the less fortunate or people that just would not have attended games in the past. There have been some of these people that now have there own season tickets after experianceing the thrill of the WHL. A great way for buisness to promote there town and team. Also many Ice alumni purchase tickets and give them back to the comunity through the Champions.
