Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is rookie forward Peter Mueller of the Everett Silvertips. Mueller earned player of the week honours by recording two goals and nine points in four games, including a power-play goal and a short-handed goal during the week of October 17th to October 23rd and helped lead the Silvertips to a 3-1 record for the week.

On Tuesday, October 18th, Mueller recorded two assists in a 4-1 victory over the visiting Saskatoon Blades. On Friday, October 21st, Mueller scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 loss to the Thunderbirds in Seattle.

On Saturday, October 22nd, Mueller recorded four assists in a 5-1 victory over the visiting Tri-City Americans. On Sunday, October 23rd, Mueller scored a short-handed goal in a 5-4 victory over the Winter Hawks in Portland.

Mueller, a 17-year-old native of Bloomington, Minnesota, is eligible for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Mueller Named WHL Player of the Week

First Silvertips Player in Franchise History to be Named Player of the Week

Everett, WA – October 24th, 2005: Everett Silvertips forward Peter Mueller was named the WHL Player of the Week during the week of October 17th to October 23rd. Last week the Bloomington, Minnesota native tallied 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points to help lead the Silvertips to a 3-1 week.

Mueller is currently leading the Silvertips in scoring with 3 goals and 10 assists for 13 points and is ranked 3rd among rookie scorers in the WHL. With Mueller receiving player of the week honors, it is the first time that a Silvertips player has received a WHL Player of the Week honor in franchise history.

The Silvertips next home game will be Wednesday night against the Portland Winter Hawks at the Everett Events Center.
