LAMMERS NAMED GREYHOUND WHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is forward John Lammers of the Everett Silvertips. Lammers earned player of the week honours by recording five goals and 11 points in four games, including three power-play goals, two short-handed goals and a game-winning goal during the week of October 24th to October 30th while helping lead the Silvertips to a perfect 4-0 record for the week.
On Wednesday, October 26th, Lammers scored a power-play goal and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks. On Friday, October 28th, Lammers was on the scoresheet for every goal, recording a hat-trick, including two-short handed goals and adding two assists in a 5-2 win against the Giants in Vancouver.
On Saturday, October 29th, Lammers scored a goal and added two assists in a 4-1 victory over the visiting Vancouver Giants. On Sunday, October 30th, Lammers recorded an assist in a 4-3 shootout victory over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings.
Lammers, a 19-year-old native of Langley, British Columbia, was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
