The Western Hockey League today announced that Troy Brouwer of the Moose Jaw Warriors has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for September / October.

The 20-year-old forward from North Delta, British Columbia recorded 14 goals and 27 points in 15 games played during the months of September / October. Brouwer helped lead the Warriors to a 10-3-1-1 record for the month.

Brouwer was drafted by the Chicago Blackhwaks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and currently leads the WHL in scoring. He recorded four power-play goals, three game-winning goals and a short-handed goal in September / October.

His accomplishments make Troy Brouwer a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for September / October.
