Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans tonight have designated 18-year-old defenseman Andrew Bentz for assignment. The move is effective immediately and reduces the club roster to 25 players (15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders).

The Edmonton, Alberta native appeared in six games this season and had one assist and two penalty minutes.

The club returns to action this Friday, November 11th as the Americans host the U.S. Division rival Seattle Thunderbirds at Toyota Center at 7:05 pm. It’s Tri-City Herald Family Friday presented by KEPR 19. Four fans can attend the game with a coupon from Thursday’s Herald Life section. The first 2,500 fans will receive patriotic wrist bands in honor of Veterans Day courtesy of U.S. Cellular. Airtime for the Farmers Insurance Warm-Up Show is 6:45 pm on News Talk 870 KFLD.
