Everett Comes Home After Road Trip 3-3-1
Silvertips Lose to Ice 5-2

Cranbrook, BC - Tonight in the Cranbrook Recreational Complex in Cranbrook, BC the Everett Silvertips played their last game on their big road trip against the Kootenay Ice. The Silvertips lost 5-2. Despite the loss Everett holds first place in the US Division with 29 points and a 14-7-1 record. Kootenay, moves up to third place in the BC Division with 27 points and a 13-8-0-1 history.

Scoring first for the Silvertips was Brady Calla. Calla put up one of Everett's goals on a power play at 6:27 of the second period. Ryan Sawka and Jason Fransoo recorded the assists. Tallying Everett's only other goal of the game was Kyle Beach, with a late effort in the third period. Rookie Damir Alic earned the helper.

The Kootenay Ice started in the lead and never let it go. Both Dale Mahovsky and former Everett Silvertip Curtis Billsten had one goal and one assist in tonight's match-up. Tallying one goal a piece were Ryan Russell, Paul Kurceba and Ben Maxwell. Casey Lee, Devin Welsh and Marek Curilla all earned one assist.

Leland Irving played the majority of the game and made 21 saves on 25 shots. His record drops to 13-7. Matt Esposito made an appearance for a little over two minutes and stopped the only shot he faced. Taylor Dakers, the relief goaltender for Kootenay, made 18 stops on 20 shots and raises his record to 2-1. On the power play Everett went 1 for 4 while the Ice went 0 for 3. Final shots on goal were Everett 20 and Kootenay 27.

The Everett Silvertips will be back home at the Everett Events Center on Friday, November 18th, where they will play the Kamloops Blazers. The action begins at 7:05pm.
