GRACIK AND BACEK NAMED TO TEAM SLOVAKIA
Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans today are proud to announce that 19-year-old forwards Juraj Gracik and Igor Bacek have been named to play for Team Slovakia at the World Junior Tournament beginning December 26th in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Gracik is in his second season with the Americans and has five goals, 10 points in 17 games this season. Gracik was a fourth round selection of the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers in 2004.
Bacek is in his first season with the Americans and has one goal, five points in 15 games this year.
Gracik and Bacek will leave to join Team Slovakia on December 15th and return to the Americans at the conclusion of the tournament.
