Tri-City American forwards Juraj Gracik and Igor Bacek and Moose Jaw Warrior defenceman Martin Grundling have been named to play for Team Slovakia at the World Junior Tournament beginning December 26th until January 5th, 2006 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Gracik is in his second season with the Americans and has five goals, 10 points in 17 games this season. Gracik was a fourth round selection of the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers in 2004.
Bacek is in his first season with the Americans and has one goal, five points in 15 games this year.
Grundling is in his first season with the Warriors and has one goal, five assist in 20 games with a +/- rating of +7.
Gracik and Bacek will leave to join Team Slovakia on December 15th and return to the Americans at the conclusion of the tournament.
