Americans have added 6'5" 200 pound Minnesota defenseman Kyle Medvec to their prospects list. Hailing from the same hometown as former American Sean Curry, Medvec is playing this season for Apple Valley High School in Minnesota. The Minnesota Sun reported earlier this month that Medvec's high school coach has indicated the senior has turned down a scholarship from Quinnipiac University and is waiting to see if any WCHA schools come calling. Medvec would be an 18-year-old next season and was listed on Central Scouting Service's "watch list" as a class "A" player for the 2006 draft.
