The Western Hockey League today announced that Devin Setoguchi of the Saskatoon Blades has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for November.

The 18-year-old forward from Taber, Alberta, recorded nine goals and 23 points in 14 games played during the month of November. Setoguchi helped lead the Blades to a 10-4 record for the month.

He recorded five power-play goals and two game-winning goals, while collecting only four penalty minutes in November.

Setoguchi was named Greyhound WHL Player of the Week during the week of November 7th – 13th. In addition to his 23 points in November, Setoguchi recorded three goals in his lone appearance in the ADT Canada Russia Challenge on November 30th in Saskatoon against the Russian Selects. He was also named the Player of the Game for Team WHL.

Setoguchi was drafted in the 1st round, 8th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and is currently third in WHL in scoring with 14 goals and 38 points.

His accomplishments make Devin Setoguchi a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for November.
