No problem!! I have a couple more in the works...and a couple more to do with Flatters and Mikkelson. If there are any players that you guys want to read about, just let me now and I will see what I can do. :thumb: I am working on some for other teams as well.

Q: What has been the biggest surprise about being involved with the Giants so far?
A: The way they have given me all the time I need to recover from my injury. Usually teams want you back as soon as possible but not vancouver. They called it the Mark Fistric rule. They don't want guys coming back from injuries early and getting hurt again causing them to miss the rest of the year.

Mark Fistric rule LOL.

Nice to see the management learned something from all that last year.

Thanks GF71 - Tommy has a wicked sense of humor, Rookies beware next year. :)

My Favorite line -

Q: What role do you see yourself playing with the team this year?
A:Assistant coach lol. Yelling from the bench and who knows maybe a win or two

He is a pretty funny guy. To read his interview is one thing, but to see him in action for yourself is quite another. He has had me in sticthes more than a few times.

My favorite line I have heard him use...picture this being said with a VERY straight face to a young lass he was chatting up at a Langely Hornets game..."Hi. My name is Tommy. Ya know, I am kind of a big deal". lol I guess you had to be there but it was priceless. :D

Of all the Vancouver Giant interviews(from gogiants), this was by far the best one. Thanks for posting!

Good to get a little more information on these guys - I am a newbie Giants fan - saw them last year for the first time and was hooked. Didn't find much info on their website, so this is great.

Re: other interviews, my g/f is crazy about Kyle Lamb and Paul Albers Any more info on them?

GF71

I have interviews that I did with them both from last year for my old giants site. Paul's is from about 4 days after he joined the team. I am going to start doing new interviews with the vets, so Paul and Kyle will be the first two seeing as you asked!!! What do you want to know?

Just curious as to how they have enjoyed the last two years, what they think the sceret to recent success has been and what is going on in the future for them. And how the Giants will fare without them!

Looking forward to the new interviews.

The best one was Dustin's. Hey I am biased, cause he is family.

So...I don't know about anyone else but I'm experiencing Giants withdrawal symptoms. Which led me to go through and read some of the interviews and I pulled out some things Dustin Slade had said.

Dustin Slade:

Q: What are you looking forward to the most about playing in Vancouver?
A: The legendary fans and winning a WHL title!

He won his WHL title!

Q: You have had a reputation for losing your cool in the past. Do you feel
that you have better control of your now?
A: I'll always play with fire, I just won't burn myself anymore.

He maintained his composure and didn't lose it! :thumb:

Q: What are your goals for the next season, your first with the Giants?
A: Consistency, maintaining a high save percentage, and looked to as a guy
that steals games for my team.

He put up some crazy numbers this season!

Q: Which rinks are your favorite and least favorite to play in?
A: I LOVED playing in Moose Jaw. They hated me there! lol I hate playing in
arenas with quiet fans.

It only seems fitting that he won his WHL title in Moose Jaw. :D

It put a smile on my face seeing him accomplish so many of his goals!

nice GF71 thanks for sharing -- good read -- I was always wondering why Kraus had such a great first game back from injury in the playoffs in PG and then just sort of drifted off after that. Apparently, adrenaline is no substitute for proper conditioning :D
