Should college players be on Team Canada?

Simple question should Team Canada allow US college players to play. These players play half the games that Junior players do.

When was the last college player that really stood out for Canada?

If they are in college to better themselves, why are they missing time from school to attend this tournament?

What is your opinions?

Team Canada should always use the best AVAILABLE players to represent our nation.

Be they from the WHL, OHL, QmjHL, university/college, or other leagues (ie. NHL, other junior hockey leagues.)

The fact that ALL the teams from the CHL have made a commitment to make available all their players for these tournament does not mean that hockey Canada can only pick players from the CHL.

If Sidney Crosby (who is still eligable to play) was allowed to play for Team Canada, would you say NO because he is playing pro-hockey right now (not in the CHL)?

If they have the talent to compete, hell yea. Just because they chose a US college shouldn't reduce their chances to represent their country.

Should be the same for US players too if they choose the CHL over the US college ranks.

For ANY team in a tourney like this you pick the best players available to you, not ones from a single league. If you did that it would only be team CHL and NOT Team Canada. Think if the European countries did the same? None of the Euro's playing in Canada or the States would be able to play, watering down that countries talent.
