ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the 13th week of the 2005-2006 with a 23-11-0-2 record (14-1-0-1 at home, 9-10-0-1 on the road, 1-0 in overtime, 1-2 in shootout) and in first place in the BC DIVISION…KOOTENAY is tied with CALGARY and MEDICINE HAT for first overall in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE…KOOTEANY will break for the Christmas Holidays (December 18-26).



KOOTENAY ICE CALENDARS: 2006 KOOTENAY ICE Calendars will be sold in the lobby of the Rec Plex on December 13…Calendars are $20.00 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS EDUCATION FUND…The first 100 calendars sold will also include a $10.00 gift certificate from HUSKY / MOHAWK.



CRANBROOK DODGE NIGHT: When the ICE host SEATTLE on Tuesday, December 13, CRANBROOK DODGE will be on hand as the game night sponsor… Watch in the second intermission as they slingshot prizes into the crowd.



SAFEWAY TURKEY BOWLING / FOOD BANK NIGHT: When the ICE host SPOKANE, SAFEWAY will be accepting donations of non-perishable items in the lobby of the REC PLEX for the CRANBROOK and KIMBERLEY FOOD BANKS …Enter at SAFEWAY for your chance to participate during the second intermission in SAFEWAY TURKEY BOWLING.



DID YOU KNOW: CASEY LEE played in his 250th career WHL game December 9 against the REBELS…ADAM CRACKNELL needs to play in three more games to reach 250 in his WHL career…BEN MAXWELL recorded his 50th career point December 10 in LETHBRIDGE (24-27-51 career)…DEVIN WELSH played in his 150th career WHL game in RED DEER…STEVE DASILVA played in his 100th career WHL game against the HURRICANES…RYAN RUSSELL is fourth in the League in overall scoring with 41 points…ADAM CRACKNELL is tied for fifth in the WHL in overall scoring with 39 points…MIKE BUSTO is tied for fourth in the League in scoring by defensemen with 25 points…TAYLOR DAKERS is second in the WHL In both goals against average (1.81) and save percentage (.926)…The ICE are 16-1-0-0 when leading after two periods of play, 2-8-0-0 when trailing and 5-2-0-2 when tied…KOOTENAY is 17-5-0-0 when scoring the first goal of the game and 16-3-0-1 when outshooting their opponent.



ONE YEAR AGO: After 36 games of the 2004-2005 season the ICE were 21-11-4-0 and after 37 games 21-12-4-0.
