Warriors Barkwell played his first Warrior game of the season last night. It seems as though he did an admirable job. He is creative with the puck and could be a good addition if he can stick the rest of the season. He is scoring at a fairly good pace in the MJHL.

Karl Haag is doing very well. He is tied for the team lead in goals on his team and is playing Junior A in BC. He is a 16 year old in a legue full of 18-19 year olds.

Mitchell Labreche is another player in the same league. He is the only 15 year old that I found in the entire league. He has been out of the lineup for small amount of time. He has 5 goals and 7 points in 14 games played. Very solid for an underage player.

Jason Grecica is performing well but hasn't scored that much. In 19 games he has 3 goals and 4 points on the season.

Neal Prokop is having a nice underage season in the MAAAHL. He is sitting just under a PPG. He has 4 goals and 10 assists.

Travis Harmonic is playing AAA in Manitoba as well and he is doing well. He has 6 goals and 6 assists this season in 20 games played as a 15 year old D man.

Scott Maetche is a 16 year old playing in the AJHL. He was one of the last cuts from the Warriors this season. He has played sparatically. Sounds like he needs to add some size and strength to compete at the Whl level.

Ryan Stanton is a guy that has never really trained to play hockey. He has basically been thrown into the fire. He has good skill and is a tough kid. He is playing AAA in Alberta. No stats known for him. He was one of the last cuts in camp as well.

Bryan Hull is playing AAA hockey in Notre Dame. He is a 16 year old and is 2nd on the team in scoring on a weak AAA team this season. He has some good skills and could produce at the next level with an increase in speed and strength.

Giffen Nyren was a suprise at main camp this year. He is a 16 year old and playing AAA hockey in Alberta. He is in the top 20 in the league in scoring. He is scoring over a PPG.

Jordan Oystrick is a 16 year old playing for the North Battleford Stars. He is a big kid with good size and strength. He had a slow start to the season but has come along nicely. could be a good power forward in the Whl as early as next season. Will have his work cut out for him though. He was acquired in a trade that sent Justin Scott to Red Deer.

Chad Suer 2nd round pick 15 year old playing AAA hockey for the league leading Saskatoon Contacts is having a decent season. He is a steady dman that plays hard and physical every shift.

Michael Trebish is on the same team and is having a good year as well. He is a more offensive minded dman. He works hard and makes a good first pass out of the zone. He could fight for a spot on the backend of the Warriors next season. Needs to add to his strength to have a solid shot.

Brett Willow turned some heads in main camp. He had a few shutouts and made some spectacular saves. He is small in stature but moves like lightning. He is having a tough time this season. He has 1 win 9 losses and a 5.8 GAA. He isn't playing on the best team in the league so his numbers may not be what they should be. He showed a ton of promise in camp.

Spencer Hoehn is a 16 year old playing AAA in MJ so lots of people get to see him play in the Jaw. He is a player with a good shot and excellent speed. He needs to work on his strength and learn to pay the price to get into the scoring areas. If he manages to use his speed more consistently he will be a valuable asset to the Warriors in the near future.

Kevin Jebson is playing some outstanding hockey in the BC. The PIJHL is talking about this geat 16 year old goalie that has come out of nowhere to make a name for himself. His numbers are not great and his team is not in 1st place but as far as I can tell he keeps the scores reasonalbe when they shouldn't be and gives his team a chance to win each night. He will be a huge asset to this team NEXT SEASON. I would be very suprised if he is not the backup to Perricone next season and challenging to take over by the end of the year.

I would like to know some info on the following players if anyone has some.....
Brian Sommers
Evan Karambelas
Darcy Sideroff

Played his first Whl Regular season game with the Warriors and his big frame and smooth skating fit right in with the team. He made good plays had a shot on net (decent scoring opportunity) and had some good ice time. He really uses his big body well along the boards and in the slot to protect and fight for the puck. Going to be a real solid Whl player. Great to see him play so well. Must have been terribly nevous tonight. He sure didn't show it.
