· Jason Beeman recorded his 11th and 12th goals of the season, both on power plays in the second period. Beeman now has tallied 22 points on the season and they were his first goals since his hat trick against Portland on November 26th.

· Ian McDonald registered two assists, giving him 22 on the season. McDonald now has a team-high 37 points and has recorded at least one point in nine of the last 11 games. With McDonald’s two assists, he has now moved into a tie for 11th in points throughout the league.

· Playing in his first game after Team Canada’s World Junior Championship tryouts, goaltender Carey Price recorded his 10th win of the season by stopping 31 of 32 shots. He lowered his goals against average to 2.70 and raised his save percentage to 91.4%, which is 12th best in the league.

· Also in his first game back from Team Canada’s World Junior Championship tryouts, defenseman Logan Stephenson accounted for two assists, giving him 18 on the season. His 22 points are a team-high among defensemen.

· Besides watching the Americans win their second straight, Americans fans also set a new record. In the second of three Washington’s Lottery book drives, Americans fans brought over 800 children’s books to be donated to the Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation. It was the largest donation of children’s books received by the Americans to date.

· The Americans have now tallied 30 points and combined with Spokane’s loss have climbed to within one point of fourth place in the division. Only three points separate the last-place Americans from the second-place Portland Winter Hawks.

· The Americans are off on holiday break for the next eight days. They will return home and prepare to face the Kamloops Blazers on December 28th at the Toyota Center. Game time is 7:05PM. December 28th is also Kennewick General Hospital’s White Elephant Gift Exchange Night; bring your unwrapped and unwanted gifts to the game and participate in the area’s largest gift exchange.
