BLAZERS RECALL CHORNEYKO
KAMLOOPS, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have recalled 17-year-old forward Adam Chorneyko from the Fort Saskatchewan Traders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Adam will join the club on Boxing Day in time for the club’s 3-game road trip through the US starting Tuesday in Seattle.
With Janick Steinmann playing for Team Switzerland at the World Junior Hockey Championships, and Reid Jorgensen and Kevin Hayman still out due to their injuries, the Blazers have recalled Chorneyko to shore up the club’s forward corps.
After spending the 2004-05 WHL season in Kamloops, Chorneyko joined the Traders early this season, and has recorded 5 goals and 4 assists to go along with 38 penalty minutes in 24 games.
