THIS WEEK IN SILVERTIPS HOCKEY
Silvertips Go Back to Work on December 29 and 31 at the EEC

Everett, WA - The first place Everett Silvertips will be back at work at the Everett Events Center on Thursday, December 29 and Saturday, December 31 as the hockey club begins the second half of the 2005-2006 WHL campaign. The Silvertips will host the Tri-City Americans on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. in a pivotal US Division match up at 7:05 p.m. On Saturday night, the Silvertips will battle the Moose Jaw Warriors in their only meeting of the season in a special New Year's Eve game at 5:05 p.m. at the Everett Events Center.

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
Peter Mueller (15 goals, 22 assists) leads the Silvertips in scoring with 37 points. The Bloomington, Minnesota native also is tied for 1st on the hockey club with 2 short handed goals. John Lammers (17 goals, 18 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 35 points and leads the Silvertips with 17 goals. The Langley, BC native also leads the Silvertips with 7 power play goals. Silvertips defenseman Shaun Heshka (7 goals, 23 assists) is 3rd on the team in scoring with 30 points. Heshka also is the team leader in assists with 23. Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving has recorded 19 wins this season while posting a 1.97 GAA, 92.5% SP and 3 Shutouts.

SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS
Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving is currently 3rd among WHL goaltenders in Wins (19), 4th in GAA (1.97), 3rd in SP (92.5%) and tied for 4th in Shutouts (3). Peter Mueller is currently 1st among all WHL Rookies in scoring and 11th among all WHL scorers with 37 points. Defenseman Shaun Heshka tied for 2nd among WHL D-Men with 30 points.

SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS
The Silvertips are 8th in the WHL on the power play (37 for 202, 18.32%) and 5th in the WHL on the penalty kill (151 for 174, 86.78%).

MUELLER, HROMAS AND DOYLE ON INTERNATIONAL STAGE
Silvertips forwards Peter Mueller and Karel Hromas will be away with the hockey club for a few games as they both take part in the 2006 World Junior Championships in Vancouver, BC. Mueller will take the ice for Team USA who is currently 1-0 in tournament play. Mueller has tallied a goal and 2 assists in the tournament thus far. Hromas who is suiting up for the Czech Republic has a goal in one game for the Czechs who are also 1-0 in the tournament. Silvertips Defenseman Eric Doyle will begin play for Team Pacific at the 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Regina, SK. The Under-17 tournament will begin on Thursday, December 29 and will conclude on Wednesday, January 4.

VERSUS THE TRI-CITY AMERICANS
The Silvertips are currently 2-1 against the Americans this season. Everett is also 1-0 against Tri-City at the Everett Events Center this season. The Silvertips are 4-4-3 all time against the Americans at the EEC.

VERSUS THE MOOSE JAW WARRIORS
The Silvertips are 1-1 all time against the Warriors in franchise history. The Silvertips last meeting against the Warriors at the EEC was on February 10, 2004 when the Silvertips defeated the Warriors 2-0.
