One they trade Leblanc and a 5th rounder to Calgary for Kohn, and trade Mike Cann to Lethbridge for a 2nd round pick.

So what is the scope on Cann? Why are the Wheat Kings giving up on him? What should we expect from him here in Lethbridge ?

Cann I think for us has been a big disappointment. Hes not overly Big nor is he a great offensive defensivemen. I think we were expecting more out of first round pick. Maybe a change of scenery will elevate his game. Getting a second round pick is pretty good return for a guy who will probably never live up to his potential. Cann was expendable with the Emergence of guys like Aulie and Erb who are both bigger and more solid in there own end.

Really sorry to see Leblanc go. He was one of my favourite players but he was pretty much relegated to the third line here. Hopefully Kohn can add that offensive spark to our blueline that we are lacking especially on the powerplay.

I don't mind the Kohn deal but I think we could have got rid of Louis instead of Cann and given Cann one more year.I hope Aulie isn't a bust either.

Aulie's been alot better then Cann was as a 16 year old. If his footspeed gets better he will be a solid shutdown defenseman. I think he has improved alot in the last 10 games compared to his first 10.

As you know I was not a big Cann fan. He just doesnt really do much out on the Ice and Boyle who was drafted much later has clearly surpassed him

in all i think we definetly benifited from the trades. with dittmer, clark and derlago stepping up there play lately it wasnt our offence that was the worry it was our defence, and with kohn being a powerplay specialist and a damn good dman, he will fill leblancs offensive void and will incrase the strength on the back end

as for the cann trade, i think its better we got a 2nd round now then a 5th or 6th when he is 18 or 19, i firmly believe he is a bust and think we got good value for him

I heard from sources that Cann wasn't treated very good while on the Wheat Kings

Are there still problems in the dressing room between players or has that been resolved?
