With the rumour mill flying in Chilliwack there is going to be paid parking at Prospera Centre during game nights for sure. The rumour is also that the Chilliwack Bruins are going to lease out an adjacent parking lot (Townsend Park) for game nights as well. The Leisure Centre (Wave Pool and Gym) are located right behind Prospera Centre and they will be having "Parking Attendants" there to make sure that the only people parking at the pool are the patrons of the Leisure Centre.

The main rumour is that Prospera Centre may have pay parking at all times during public events such as public skating as well as recreational hockey leagues and private rentals.

The questions that needs to be asked is, at any other arena that houses a WHL franchise, use the ice for programs such as recreational hockey? If so, does the arenas/teams charge for parking on non game nights/days? If there may be any other information that you could share to maybe give us some insight as to what happens elsewhere would be greatly appreciated.

In Red Deer, the Westerner Fairgrounds is were the Centrium is located. Other than the fair, the Rebels games are the only paid parking event and that is only on the the north lot. The south lot is free parking, but it might be a harder lot to get out of after the games. Parking is $3 per night at the gate or you can buy a parking pass for the year (Rebel games only) for $50. The arena is used for recreational leagues, for it and all other facilities on the grounds, the parking at all lots is free.

For season ticket holders I do beleive it was $105 (or in that neighbourhood). But that includes all playoff games. I just pay it and don't keep track. On a game to game it's in the 6-8 dollar range  ( Over $200 per Year)Expensive

There is a paid parking lot in the dowtown area for the Everett games, but in 2 1/2 seasons thus far I've never paid for parking and never parked more than a block away from the EEC. There is plenty of parking to go around for free. The EEC has a seperate Ice arena attached to it for public hockey and Ice skating. There actually is no "official" parking lot for the EEC, so I guess the answer would be no, they don;t charge for parking for other events.

Parking on the lot or around at the Spokane Arena costs 5 bucks. Pretty high, but I know Portland's is worse (unless they recently lowered it which I doubt).

Prince George has a huge paprking lot around the Multiplex and the parking is 100% free.

Too bad no one's going to the games anymore. I guess it's a better deal than people realize.

The PNE,home of the Giants, charges $6.50/game.I bought a seasons parking pass for $5.00/game.You can park on the street but you need to walk quite a ways to get there.I usually take one of my kids,so its nice to drive right up to the door! Also makes getting home alot quicker(on school nights).

The parking lots around GM Place for Canucks games charge $15-$20/game!!!

In Calgary, the Exhibition grounds surrounding the Saddledome are a PAID parking ($8.50 I think it is).

And those offering parking outside the grounds also charge between $5 and $8 (last time I looked).

Yes. No charge for parking around the CN Center, but the parking lot also serves three other ice rinks, and the gymsatics club. It sucks when you have an evening ice time for your rec team on a Cougar night. You end up dragging your bag a block or three to get in to play your own game.

Parking in the north, east and west lots are free. Parking in the back lot is considered "preferred" and is a $50 donation to the education fund for the season. Season ticket holders get first crack. Suite and handicap parking is also in the south lot.

Parking is free in Saskatoon, and there is plenty of it even for crowds upwards of 10,000+. It can take a while to get out afterward if you're one of the middle-last people out of the rink, but nothing too major if you know how to drive and aren't a chicken. :D I usually get to the rink about 30-45 mins before the games and pick up prime parking, where I can get out immediately after no problem at all. Can't beat that.

At Prospera place you have to pay all times during the day, regardless whether or not there is an event taking place. I think it costs 5 bucks a game, and maybe 1/hour during the day and non-event nights. It may be this way because the casino is right across the street and Okanagan lake is right there too. Kinda sucks for the minor hockey/rec teams that have to pay to park near the rink, unless you can find a spot on the street.

Yup. The Stampede charges $8 to get in no matter what the event.

Hitmen parking passes are for the parkade only, which the Flames control, and are just over $100 for the year. Sometimes you can park in Lot A without paying, especially if you are just running to FanAttic or to pick up tickets. Not certian if they would let you park there if you were to rent the ice or anything.

Seattle - Seattle Center parking garages and lots charge $5 for Thunderbirds games. There are a few private lots around but I don't know what they charge. There is street parking but it can be a little tough to get if there are other things going on at Seattle Center that night. It's $20 to $30 for a SuperSonics (NBA) game.

Everett - as a poster said before, there seems to be a fair amount of street parking within walking distance of the building. There is a fairly-new underground parking garage behind the arena which charges $5 for a Silvertips game.

Portland - I don't know what they charge now but in the past, if the Winterhawks were up against a Trailblazers (NBA) game, it was $20; otherwise, $4 or $5.

Swift has a couple of parking lots one on the south end and a smaller one on the north side. Its all free and actually fills up decently well (with rink expansions parking could be a problem).
MJ is also free you got a mall to park at if you dont get to the rink early enough to park beside the building.

The parking lot nearly goes around the entire C.U.C. Its all free and has 4 entrances when leaving. You can get a good spot nearly anywhere regardless of the time. I got the best space there is just 5 minutes before game time.
