it is expected that Mario will announce his retirement (again) at a press conference later today.

He has not been healthy again this year. And with the pressure of the lockout, stadium, selling the team, on-ice performance, being a mentor to Crosby, etc, I am not surprised by it. Infact, I am almost surprised it did not happen sooner.

When things go wrong in Pitt, they go wrong big time. This team was supposed to be good, but yet they suck, and have now had two of their elite players retire the last two weeks. I am also suprised that he didnt hang em up earlier, i guess the big reason he came back was to help the team with attendance, and w. crosby he doesnt have to do it anymore.
