Road Trip

So far so good on our 4 game in 5 night road trip out west.A 2-1 overtime win in Kamloops on Tuesday combined with the 3-2 win over the PG Cougars have propelled us ahead of the PA Raiders for the final playoff spot with 1 game in hand.The Raiders lost to the Warriors 4-1 last night,and with our win we are 3 pts up.Hopefully we can play a solid game and carry the confidence we have to play the Hitmen on Friday then the Rebels on Saturday.The boys are really working and playing well again on the road.If only we could kill penalties and score on a few then we'd be alright.Everyone seems to be playing up to their potential,and winning is contagious,when you are.If we had been playing like we are at the beginning of the season our record may not have looked like crap.It must be fun for the boys to go to the rink now.

Lenoski and Day may still make the Calgary game, if not that one Day will make the red deer game.

They are kinda missed on the backend as far as experience goes.When Courchene got into that scrap last night,and Yeo took a few penalties we were kinda getting tired back there.I hope Lenoski and Day come back soon,it will help some on the defensive aspect of our game.

Well unfortunately we fell 5-4 in a shootout last night to the hitmen,and move 4pts up on the PA Raiders for the final playoff spot and also we have collected a pt in 6 straight games.Tonight is the last game on our road trip against the Rebels.Hopefully we can pull out a win before we head home for a 5 game homestand.The boys really battled last night,coming back down 2-0 than 4-3 with 2 and a half to go when Courchene fired one home.Than with 1 and some change left,Burki came within an eyelash of scoring before the overtime.To take one of the leagues and the country's best team to the brink,should be a huge boost for this team.The shootout could of went either way,but the hockey gods choose the Hitmen.Come on Brandon win in Red Deer and take 7 out of 8 road pts.
