THIS WEEK IN SILVERTIPS HOCKEY
Silvertips Hit the Road this Week

Everett, WA - The Everett Silvertips will start the month of February on the road for four straight games in the next two weeks. Everett will travel to Kelowna, BC to battle the defending WHL Champions, Kelowna Rockets in a very pivotal Western Conference match up on Wednesday night. Over the weekend the Silvertips will face off against the Tri-City Americans on Friday night in Kennewick, WA and then take on the Portland Winter Hawks on Saturday night at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR. The Silvertips are currently in 1st place in the US Division with a record of 29-17-2-1 (61 points).

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
The Silvertips are led in scoring by John Lammers (26 goals, 25 assists) with 51 points. The Langley, BC native also leads the hockey club in goals scored (26) and power play goals (12). Defenseman Shaun Heshka (9 goals, 39 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 48 points. Heshka also leads the Silvertips in assists with (39). Forward Peter Mueller (18 goals, 24 assists) is 3rd on the hockey club in scoring with 42 points, while forwards Zach Hamill (17 goals, 23 assists) and Zack Dailey (6 goals, 6 assists) is tied in +/- with a +10 rating. Goaltender Leland Irving currently has posted 26 wins and recorded a 1.98 GAA, .922 SP and 3 Shutouts this season.

SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS
Goaltender Leland Irving is currently tied for 3rd in the WHL in Wins (26), 4th in GAA (1.98), 3rd in SP (.923) and tied for 4th in Shutouts (3). Defenseman Shaun Heshka leads all WHL defensemen in scoring with 48 points and is 1st in the WHL in assists (39). Forward Peter Mueller is 3rd among all WHL Rookies in scoring with 42 points while John Lammers is tied for 14th in the WHL in scoring with 51 points.

SILVERTIPS SPECIALITY TEAMS
The Everett Silvertips are 1st in the WHL on the power play (62 for 296, 20.95%) and 5th on the penalty kill (206 for 240, 85.83%).

LAMMERS BREAKS SILVERTIPS SINGLE SEASON GOAL SCORING MARK
Silvertips Forward John Lammers broke the club record for most goals in one season with his 26th goal against the Spokane Chiefs on Sunday night. The Langley, BC native is also 7 points away from breaking the record for most points in a single season. Silvertips captain Torrie Wheat currently holds the single season club record for most points in a season with 57.

LELAND IRVING TIES ALL-TIME WIN MARK
Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving is now tied with former Silvertips netminder Michael Wall with 35 career victories as an Everett Silvertip. Irving picked up his 35th career victory on Sunday night against the Spokane Chiefs. The Swan Hills, AB native recorded 9 wins last season and currently has 26 wins this season.

MR. JANUARY ZACH HAMILL
Silvertips forward Zach Hamill posted big numbers in the month of January. In 11 games, Hamill recorded 9 goals and 10 assists in the month of January.

SILVERTIPS FRANCHISE REACHING 100 WIN PLATEAU
The Everett Silvertips franchise currently has 97 franchise victories in their two plus seasons in the WHL and are 3 wins away from reaching win #100 in franchise history. In recent WHL expansion history it took the Vancouver Giants, Calgary Hitmen and the Red Deer Rebels to reach the 100 win mark in their 4th season in the WHL.

VERSUS THE KELOWNA ROCKETS
The Silvertips are 0-1 against the Rockets this season. Overall in franchise history, the Silvertips are 4-3-1-1 all time against the Rockets and 2-1-0-1 (OT loss) all time at Prospera Place. In their last meeting on October 2, 2005 at the Everett Events Center, the Rockets defeated the Silvertips 3-1. Future Meetings: March 5: @ Everett, March 12: @ Kelowna.

VERSUS THE TRI-CITY AMERICANS
The Silvertips are 6-1-1-0 against the Americans this season and 1-1-1 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. The Silvertips are 13-11-3 (ties)-2 (OT Loss) all time against the Americans and 5-7-2 (OT Losses) all time against Tri-City in Kennewick, WA. VERSUS THE PORTLAND WINTER HAWKS
The Silvertips are 4-1 against the Portland Winter Hawks this season and 2-0 against the Hawks in Portland this season. The Silvertips are 16-7-4 (Ties) all time against the Winter Hawks in franchise history and 8-2-3 (Ties) all time against the Winter Hawks in Portland, OR. The Everett Silvertips would like to thank Top Food and Drugs and Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Silvertips fans for a wonderful day at last Saturday's player appearance and autograph signing at the Top Food and Drugs store on Everett Mall Way. All of the players were on hand signing autographs and bagging groceries to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Overall the fundraiser raised a few thousand dollars for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Silvertips would like to thank the fans for coming out to the event.
