Certain media/other athelets are ripping the Canadian Woman's Hockey team for running up the score.

As was stated, since the tournament uses a goals differential as part of its tiebreaker formula...

The media has turned women's olympic hockey into a debacle...Same way they are trying to turn the Men's Canadian tourney into a gambling ring...

I say Kudos to Hayley and Cassie if they want to show their talents. Isn't excelling at your sport what the Olympics is all about?
Goal differential aside...Do you think the media would accuse Wotherspoon of showing off if he were to break the world record by 8 seconds instead of skating just fast enough to get the Gold that particular year...

And because you won't hear this from today's inept media..here's a real olympic hockey reference for all to chew on, and stop whining about the fact that Canada has finally just begun to fund an athetic association enough that they can win....
Here's what happened in 1928...the third year of Olympic Hockey...ever...

When the Canadian men’s hockey team first arrived in St. Moritz 10 days before the Games started, Olympic officials watched a team practice and decided other countries wouldn’t stand a chance against the Canadians.

So, officials promptly advanced Canada straight to the final round and divided the other 10 nations into three pools, the winners of which would play Canada in the finals. This proved to be a wise decision, because Canada obliterated each of its competitors in turn, scoring 38 goals while not allowing a single goal from any opposing team.

Sound familiar....

And by the way...
By 1932, the Gold was not in the bag for Canada...the US went took us to 3 OT periods for Gold....and We won how....?
Goal differential...
And by 1936 we lost to who?
The stick handling powerhouse of Britain...

Take a pill media leeches...and be proud of our national team...
