Injuries mounting up.

So, the Giants tonight will be going with a 16 man roster tonight vs. Spokane according to the Vancouver Sun, as the following players will not be suiting up;

Watt, Reese, Rutherford, Kraus, Mikkelson.

Bouma has been returned to his home club as they get ready for the playoffs etc.

Article made it sound like Bonner will not be able to call up any AP players until after this weekends set against the T-birds, once Giant draft picks/ AP players teams start getting eliminated from their own playoffs.

I checked the roster and the Giants are carrying 23 players. With 5 out, that leaves 18 to dress, not 16 as stated.

Sorry for any confusion, but I ment 16 skaters, not the usual 18 skaters that a team dresses. Of course we will have the 2 goalies in the lineup, giving us a total of 18 players dressed, but we will be short 2 players as the regular lineup is 20.

So yeah I should have said 18 man Roster tonight.

Kelowna and Prince George. The only two teams in the league that kinda worry me. I think the Cougars might surrender to the Giants ina series, but Kelowna will be a tough one. Can't wait for the playoffs!!! :bounce:

Don just said on the radio that JD and Reese are not playing this weekend,and were seeing the doc at 5pm today.Both are having alot of pain(shoulders).
At least we'll have a well rested team for the playoffs. :spineyes:

Bill was just asked about Injuries on MOJO and he implied that a couple guys may be taking the pre-game skate, and they may be game time decisions, off of the Injury list.... :confused:

Got to think that means Rutherford, Watt and Reese, but he was also saying they may not be ready this weekend. Very strange. Guess we have to wait for the warmup but from what I hearing/reading, the Giants will be short 2 men again tonight.

I am concerned that guys are starting to get bumps and bruises that they cant heal because of our short roster, and thus are having to play when they really shouldn't be.

This could really come back to haunt us come playoffs, hopefully we can get a few of our AP players into the lineup soon, so that when guys need a rest they can take it.
