Rebels beat Ice in Kootenay 2-0!

The Red Deer Rebels began a four game road trip Wednesday night in Cranbrook against the league leading Kootenay Ice. Rebels won the game 2-0 over a Kootenay team that can't seem to beat Red Deer.

Alex Poulter and Brandon Sutter each scored once leading the Rebels to a 2-0 victory in Kootenay on Wednesday night. The Ice rarely lose on home ice this season and the Rebels seem to have their number, winning for the fourth time this season against the Ice; this the first time in Cranbrook.

The team will travel to Swift Current Friday and Medicine Hat Saturday before returning to Cranbrook next Friday to wrap up this four game road trip.

The Rebels are in desperate need of wins and subsequent points in the race for the final playoff spot in the Central with their rivals, the Swift Current Broncos who remain four points up on Red Deer with a win in Saskatoon 4-1 Wednesday night. They still have 1 game in hand.
