BLADES BANTER: The Blades are coming off a big 4-0 win Saturday night versus their rival from the North, the Prince Albert Raiders. With the win the Blades clinched a 2006 WHL Play-off spot. The Saskatoon Blades enter this week 12 points behind the Moose Jaw Warriors for top spot in the WHL’s Eastern Division. The Blades are 5 points up on the 3rd place Regina Pats. This week the Blades play five games, three at home, two away from Credit Union Centre. The Blades travel to Medicine Hat tomorrow night, then entertain the 1st place Moose Jaw Warriors on Home Depot Night, Wednesday March 1st. The Blades then go south for a Friday night game in Regina, followed by home games Saturday and Sunday versus the Brandon Wheat Kings and Lethbridge Hurricanes respectively.

BLADES BANTER: The Blades are coming off a big weekend which saw the club win all three games, Friday in Regina followed by back to back home wins Saturday and Sunday. The Blades have know won 5 straight and look to extend that streak this upcoming weekend in Manitoba when the Blue & Silver play the Wheat Kings Friday in Brandon, then Saturday at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. Saturday’s game in Winnipeg is part of the SHAW TV regional broadcast scheduled and will be available for Saskatchewan fans to watch.

The Blades don’t play at home again until Tuesday March 14th when they entertain the Moose Jaw Warriors on Home Depot. It is the make-up game for the March 1st cancelled game due to weather conditions. All tickets for the March 1st game will be accepted for the March 14th game.
