The WHEAT KINGS will be hoping to get back on the winning track tonight when they take on the WARRIORS at the “Crushed Can” in MOOSE JAW…After winning the first two games of a rare “tripleheader” this past week against CALGARY, the WHEAT KINGS returned to the Keystone Centre Friday night, only to drop a 5-3 decision to the visiting HITMEN, who received a 2-goal effort from newly acquired defenceman DYLAN YEO…JAKUB SINDEL with two and LANCE MONYCH replied for the WHEAT KINGS, who outshot the HITMEN 37-26…The loss prevented the WHEATS from gaining ground on the Eastern Division leading SASKATOON BLADES, who lost 4-1 to the third place PRINCE ALBERT RAIDERS…BRANDON remains nine points out of first place…During the 3-game series with CALGARY, each team scored eight goals…TIM KONSORADA’S second goal of the game with four seconds remaining lifted BRANDON to a 3-2 overtime win last Sunday night in CALGARY and JAKUB SINDEL’S goal in the final minute of the second period on Wednesday gave the WHEAT KINGS a 2-1 decision…BRANDON goes into Saturday night’s game with a record of 26-19-5-1…BRANDON is 16-7-1-1 at home and 10-12-4 on the road…a league leading 7-1-5 in overtime and 5-5-0 in their last ten games.

VS. MOOSE JAW: The WHEAT KINGS are currently unbeaten (3-0-1) against the WARRIORS this season, after going 3-5-0 vs. MOOSE JAW in 2003-04…ERIC FEHR leads the WHEATS with five goals and eight points while RYAN STONE and TIM KONSORADA have seven points each…Rookie netminder TYLER PLANTE is 1-0-0 with a shutout in his only start against MOOSE JAW.
