Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans today are proud to announce the signing of 17-year-old center Drew Hoff to a standard WHL player’s contract for the 2006-07 season.

The 5’10”, 180 pound Hoff will join the team immediately for the final four games of the regular season. The native of Redvers, Saskatchewan was the leading scorer for the Yorkton Harvest AAA Midget team in the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League this season. In 44 games, Hoff scored 17 goals, 38 points and had 30 penalty minutes. In four playoff games Hoff had two goals, three points and two penalty minutes.

“Drew is a skilled forward with good speed,” said Americans governor/general manager Bob Tory. However, his greatest attributes are his relentless work ethic and leadership capabilities. We are pleased that Drew and his family have chosen the Americans and the Western Hockey League for his development as a player.”

Upcoming Schedule
The Americans return to action this Wednesday, March 15th against the Seattle Thunderbirds at Toyota Center at 7:05 pm. It’s Kadlec Medical Night with a portion of the proceeds from the gate being donated to the Kadlec Foundation. The first 1,000 fans will receive heart flashers courtesy of Kadlec. Gates open at 6 pm. Airtime for the Farmers Insurance Warm-Up Show is 6:45 pm on News Talk 870 KFLD.

Tickets are available for this and for the final two home games of the regular season, this Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th with the Prince George Cougars at 7:05 pm. These three games are the final chances for season tickets holders to take advantage of the Never-A-Wasted-Ticket program for unused season tickets.
