Here is a little survival guide for anyone visiting the Tri Cities.
The TC has a variety of places to eat and stay. There is a Best western about two blocks from the barn that is pretty nice and has fairly affordable rates I am told. There are several others within a few miles including: Red Lion, Super 8, Comfort Inn, La Quinta and Holiday Inn.
As far as eating.... We have everything that you could want from Red Lobster, Red Robin, Applebees, Outback steak house,Granny's Buffet,TS Cattle co. , As well as all the fast food favorites that you'd find everywhere. My personal favorite is the TS Cattle Co. on Clearwater Ave. They have the best steaks in town and also do a pretty good tri tip.

Anyone interested in coming to the Tri Cities, PM me and we'll meet for a brew at the game!!!

My boyfriend and I came down last year to watch an Ams/Chiefs game and were happy to see that the mall was actually pretty close by to the arena. A nice place to kill some time and get a good bite to eat before a game!

If you take a trip behind the mall, you will find an Olive Garden (ummmm, breadsticks, ummmmmmmm) and some smaller sandwich shops, such as Bruchi's and Quiznos. There use to be a small restaurant at Cleopatra's, but I don't know if it is still open, plus Uncle Sam's (the old Silent Sam's) has decent bar food.

Visiting Tri-Cities info

The Red Lion in Kennewick is where the teams stay
http://redlion.rdln.com/HotelLocator/HotelOverview.aspx?metaID=20

If you have not bought your tickets I would personaly recomend sections L & M / Rows 5,6,8,9 & 10 (NOT 7! A black rail is there and gives little room for legs)
You will be able to see the your team attack for the 1st and 3rd plus look across the ice at the benches.

Kimo's sports bar (Very Family Friendly!)
At the corner of Columbia Park Train and Columbia Center Blvd.
Take Columbia Cntr. Blvd. in front of the mall and head north to the river. You will see it on the right. 5 minutes from the rink.
Some AMS fans go there before and after games. Great home made micro brew and you can get a lunch/dinner there. This is the Americans offical "Home away from home" as they show all the AMS out of town games off the internet for free.

There's also a Carl's Jr close enough to walk to the arena from. It's just a block away. A LOT of AM's fans, and visiting fans eat there before the games. Nice quick bite before the game with other Hockey fans, and their food is really good too. Really beats other fast food...

Some friends, my wife, my sister, and I from Red Deer plan to visit Nov 6 and appreciate the advice. Hope to see fans that we met on previous visits and some new ones too.
