In essence we've got 8 balls vs. 7 balls to make us the number 1 pick....that's sweet.

Right on. I'm not sure what our strategy will be. If memory serves me right, they drafter "big" last year, so maybe they'll look at another scorer...don't really know where to look to follow some of the younger players.

Which player will your team select? Do you need offense or defense?

Here is some information that I read on another forum site:
------------

Jared Cowan is a monster defenseman who's playing for the Saskatoon Contacts. Most scouts have him locked to be the first overall pick.
Here's a list of the top Bantam picks, done by International Scouting Services.

1. Jared Cowan, Sask. Contacts Midget AAA
2. Ryan Howse, Prince George Bantam AAA
3. Cole Penner, Medicine Hat Bantam AAA
4. Burke Gallimore, CAC Alberta Bantam AAA
5. Collin Bowman, N. Shore Winter Club Bantam AAA
6. Landon Ferraro, Burnaby Bantam AAA (son of Ray Ferraro)
7. Erich Binner, Calgary SWAA White Bantam
8. Riley Boychuk, Abbotsford AAA
9. Shane Harle, North Shore Winter Club Bantam AAA
10. Matt MacKenzie, Burnaby Bantam AAA

Also, Shaun Vey's brother Linden is considered to be a Top Ten pick by some scouts.
------------

So will Jared Cowan be Spokane's choice, or will it be someone else? Any thoughts, Chiefs fans?

i think howse will have more upside than cowan especially if your team needs scoring which this kid seem o be quite capable of. cowan is just really big for his age, and that is his biggest asset. if it came down to cowan and howse at #4 id want the raiders to pick howse.

Supposedly we're going to be drafting a bigger player, so probably a powerforward type or a big d-man. I think they're gonna opt for Cowan, we'll find out here in about a month right?
