Well the score at the end of the second period is 1 -1, a tight close checking game that seems to be in the Ice end most of the time. The Rockets have to be worried going into the third with the score tied and having dominated the pay so far, one slip and they could lose a game that they should of had in their back pocket.

That being said lets go and steal one Ice.

Rockets tie the game with about a minute to go on a goal mouth scramble. Looking like it is going to be the fourth straight game between these two clubs in the playoffs going into OT.

OT it is, we can still steal one from them in their barn, but it may be important to do so after giving up the late goal now.

Okay everyone must be doing something tonight, maybe watching the Giants/Cougars game on Shaw.

1st period OT highlites.

Casey Lee had an early break away without getting real wood on his shot.

Rocket power play with a ton of pressure and a missed open net, a continued amount of pressure, but the Ice hang on. Dakers is living large, shots are 9 - 3 in OT.

Ice PP now with 1:08 to go, roughing call, Ice radio is surprised it is only two minutes.

On to the second OT period.

2nd OT period

This one is short, Russell scores 27 seconds into the period and the Ice take game one in the series. Big big win.

Dakers with 40 saves, Rockets not so much....

Kelowna doesn't even bother to select three stars after the game.....must of been a little tired of coming close to win. This win was important with the Rockets dominating and then the late goal to force OT. Had the Ice folded after that, it may of given all the momentum that the Rockets needed to take two games at home. Now all the pressure is on them to win the second game, a loss will be devastating.

Kelowna never has game stars in the playoffs. Really exciting game tonight, Kelowna had their chances but no luck! Should be a good one tomorrow.

Congrats on taking the "home-ice advantage" at least temporarily away from Kelowna.
