Kennewick, WA - Tonight at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA the Everett Silvertips scored early in overtime to defeat the Tri-City Americans by a score of 2-1. This was game three in the quarter finals and Everett leads the series 2-1.

Ian McDonald scored the lone goal for Tri-Cities at 8:03 of the first period. Jason Beeman and Aaron Boogaard earned the assists. After a scoreless second period, Shaun Heshka tied the game up at one a piece when he fired a shot from center point at 2:19 of the third. Excellent game last night. Very well played by both teams. To his credit, I thought Kirk called a good game last night. He definitly put the whistle away in the 3rd. Looking forward to tonight's game. Hopefully the same excitement is there again.

The 3 stars announced last night were:
1) Torrie Wheat
2) Leland Irving
3) Carey Price

Not sure where the Everett list came from.

I had earlier stated that I believed he is overrated as an NHL prospect, considering his regular season stats & how he fared in the first playoff game against Everett. These past two games, he has been stellar.

Fortunately for Everett, they also have a stellar goaltender (Irving) who is keeping his team in games while the offense is lacking.
