Giant Marek Schwarz in action Feb. 2.
LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- The odds of Marek Schwarz coming back to the Vancouver Giants next year appear to be going up.
The St. Louis Blues, who picked the Czech goaltender in the first round of the most recent NHL draft, have told him they would like him to play in Vancouver in 2005-06. He spent part of last year playing in the Czech pro league.
Schwarz was even talking to the Giants' equipment supplier on Monday about ordering in new pads for next year.
When asked about it all, he smiled and said, "We will see."
