The Rain man got it? Is Mats really that bad anymore. I know he lost his consistency since he got flipped by a T-Bird in Everett but that bad. No way the Rain Man is that good...sad award if you ask me.

Congrats To Willie Desjardin for coach of the year. Its about time he gets some recognition. Lets hope he stays with the tigers for a long time.

When brent sutter is done coaching the world junoirs, I would think willie would one of the top candidates for the head coaching job.(I think sutter should give it 1 more year).

I dunno about that. I agree that it would be great if Sutter had the job for another year but I don't know if he'll want it.

This season, he missed the playoffs by 4 points, or two wins. While he was gone his team I think only had one or two wins through the month of december. You've got to think that had he been around for that month that they could have earned two more wins.

Last season they finished one point behind Calgary. Now I'm not sure what the Rebels did while Sutter was away for that month but maybe had he been there they might have earned 2 more points. That doesn't sound like a big deal but if they finish in front of Calgary they face Lethbridge in the first round instead of a much tougher Medicine Hat squad. If the rebels were good enough to take the tigs 7 games you have to think they could have beaten Lethbridge who got steam rolled by Calgary in 5.

The Rebels missed the playoffs this year and probably missed a trip to the second round the year before because Sutter was away coaching the Juniors. That's a ton of missed revenue. Yeah, after they won the last gold medal he said he'd be tickled if he was asked to return. But now that he's added up the cost of being away from his team I wonder if he'll reconsider.

??? Must be good crack they were on to give best official to Rehman.

I suspect that the league is just too embarrassed to give it to Matsouka for a third straight year, and admit that there really is not much in the way of quality officiating, and so wanted to create the illusion that someone else is worthy of it.

They probably used length of service in the WHL to help determine who else could concievably win, which gives you guys like Rehman, Herman and Savage.

Out of those three, Rehman is definitely the best. Though when you look at those three, it really is a question of what you prefer: to be blind, to be deaf or to be dumb.

Incidentally, who won the plus-minus award this year?
