Round 1
Justin Maylan RW Calgary, Played with North Shore winter club. He is a skilled player and playmaker. He has good skating ability. He is 5'11" 160.
Round 2
Kevin Smith D Vancouver, North Shore Winter Club. He is a mobile dman and handles the puck very well. Should be an offensive pressence. Warriors are impressed with how he handles his own zone. Good first passer. 6'0 165
Round 3
Michael Burns RW Edmonton, Edmonton CAC Canadians. Finished 9th in league scoring with 29 goals and 38 assists in 33 games this past season. HE is a power forward that doesn't have as much skill as Maylan but has a physical presence and knows how to put the puck in the net. He plays the game with a chip on his shoulder and battles very hard each game. 5'11 160
Round 4
Clinton Atkinson D/RW New Westminister BC. Probably one of the best skaters in the draft this year. He has played forward and D. He has been compared to MH's Kris Russell. He has great vision and reads the play very well. He is a little on the small side at 5'10 150.
Round 5
Adam Murray G Anchorage Alaska. Warriors claim that he was a big suprise in the draft. He is regarded as the 2nd best goalie in the US at his age. They were suprised to see him still around in the 5th round. With the Warriors not having a 5th round pick they traded one of their 3 6th rounders to get the 5th also surrendering another pick in the process to nab this highly touted goalie. Warriors had said he was one of the best goalies in the draft. Murray has worked with goalie coach Angelo Maggio. He is the same coach that helped evolve current Warrior goalie Perricone. 6'2 160
Round 6
Paul ***** D Brandon. Warriors again were suprised to have Bonar available at this pick. They had him ranked in the top 2 rounds of the draft. He played for the Brandon Bantam team leading them in scoring as a dman. He is a physical dman and is always on the game sheet. He is son of former Brandon Wheatking 75 goal man Danny Bonar. 6'0 170
Ryley Reinbolt RW Calgary. Warriors nabbed this power forward.
Round 7
Nicholas Bourgeois C Leduc AB. Warriors are happy with the potential in this little sparkplug. He is small by Whl standards at 5'9 170 but plays much bigger. He has a gift around the net and finds the open ice. He was able to score 40 goals and add 52 assists in 34 games. He was 3rd in the Alberta Bantam AAA league scoring. Had 10 goals and 9 assists in 9 playoff games with the Leduc Oil Kings. He has great vision and has the ability to find the open guy.
Round 8
Cory Scott RW Calgary, AB. 6'0 160. Cory is a power forward that battles hard around the net. Warriors wanted get players that are gifted in front of the net and can add some size and grit to the future of the Warriors. They identified a need on the 50 man list and that was at RW so the Warriors grabbed as many high end RW's as they could.

All in all looks like a decent draft with lots of scoring potential. Mixed with the depth of last years draft we could be looking at a bright few seasons for the Warriors.

Lots of info was from an article in the Times Herald and thought I would post it for all to read.
