FORMER SILVERTIP WINS JUNIOR A TITLE
The Silvertips would like to congratulate former Silvertips forward Jovan Matic on helping the Burnaby Express to a Junior A Championship by winning the Royal Bank Cup. Matic tallied 2 goals and 1 assist in 10 regular season games with the Express in the BCHL this season. The Burnaby, BC native also scored 6 goals and 11 assists in 18 playoff games to help lead the Express to a BCHL title. In 6 games at the Royal Bank Cup Tournament, Matic added a goal and 4 assists.

QUICK SILVERTIPS TRIVIA
Most Silvertips fans know that Jovan Matic scored the first goal in Silvertips franchise history against the Kamloops Blazers on September 19, 2003. Who scored the second goal in Silvertips franchise history? The answer to that question will be revealed next week.

...some of us don't have to wait until next week.

We KNOW it was John Dahl who scored both goals on 9/20/03 in a 5-2 loss to
Portland.

The real question is who scored the first game winner for the Everett Silvertips in franchise history?

Remembering the Tips started 0-4-1 (outscored 18-6), it was in the 3rd period of Game 6 that Torrie Wheat scored the 2nd goal in what would become a 2-1 home victory over Seattle (the Tips were outshot in the game 42-12, Harvey got the #1 star).
