Raider VP Craig Mitchell Receives Provincial Community Service Award

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raider Hockey Club is please to announce that Vice President Craig Mitchell today received the 2006 Distinguished Community Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan at their Celebrate the Profession Luncheon in Saskatoon, in part for his work with the community owned Raiders.

The Distinguished Community Service Award was established by the ICAS to recognize the distinguished service of resident Saskatchewan members who have provided either extensive one time or long term service and leadership in areas such as career, community, business, not-for-profit and professional organizations.

Mitchell, who received his designation in 1983 and is a partner with Jones Mitchell Spademan Chartered Accountants, has been on the volunteer Raider Board of Directors for the past five years, serving as Vice President the past four. Mitchell also is on the Governance Board of the Art Hauser Centre and the Civic Facilities Association. He also was a member of the Bring Back the Magic fundraising campaign.

Other organizations Mitchell has been involved with in Prince Albert include the Samuel McLeod Business Awards, Winter Festival, Group Home Society and V.O.N.

Only two chartered accountants in Saskatchewan received the Distinguished Community Service Award for 2006 today. The other was Gerry Smysnuik of Yorkton
