+ Enlarge Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans today have completed their obligations regarding the recent WHL Expansion Draft by sending list player 16-year-old forward David Robinson to the Chilliwack Bruins.

AMERICANS NAME BROUWER ATHLETIC THERAPIST

Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans today have named Binne Brouwer (pronounced: Bin Brow-ur) as its new athletic therapist/equipment manager for the upcoming 2006-07 campaign. Brouwer is a graduate of Indiana State University where he earned a Masters of Science in athletic training.

Brouwer served last season as a graduate assistant for the Indiana State University football team. He has extensive hockey experience by serving as an intern athletic therapist for the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs (2004) and as assistant athletic trainer for the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs (2003). Binne also was an athletic therapy student for the OHL’s Brampton Battalion during the 2001-02 campaign.

“We are happy to bring Binne on board to join hockey club,” said Americans governor/general manager Bob Tory. “He comes highly recommended to us and we look forward to him joining our franchise.”

Brouwer will officially begin his position on August 1st.
