The Last Time
The Tri-City Americans (19-25-5-3, 46 points, 5th in the U.S. Division) saw their two-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the B.C. Division leading Kootenay Ice 1-0 Wednesday night at the Three Rivers Coliseum. Nigel Dawes would provide all the offense the Ice would need with a power play goal (30) at 14:10 of the first period. Kootenay would ride the hot goaltending of Jeff Glass, as he would kick out all 32 Americans shots, including 13 in the final stanza. It was the 19-year-old goaltenders fifth shutout of the campaign. The Americans went 0-2 on the power play while the Ice went 1-2 with the man advantage. Tri-City is now 0-2-1 against the Ice in the four-game season series and is 6-6-2 against B.C. Division opponents. The teams will meet for the final time this season on Wednesday, March 16th in the Three Rivers Coliseum.
