From a Silvertips press release.... (http://www.everettsilvertips.com/news/story.cfm?ID=372)

Everett, WA - The 2nd Annual Women's Hockey 101 with the Everett Silvertips was a huge success. The event which was held at the Everett Events Center Conference Center on Thursday, February 10, was attended by over 250 female Silvertips fans. The number of attendees more than doubled last year's number.

Head Coach Kevin Constantine, Assistant Coach John Becanic and Silvertips forwards Torrie Wheat, Kyle Annesley, Alex Leavitt and defenseman Mitch Love were on hand to help inform the ladies about the rules, regulations, penalties and other aspects of the game of hockey. Coach Constantine also showed video clips of game footage to help demonstrate different strategies of the game. The ladies asked a myriad of informative questions, which were then answered by the coaches and players about situations that occur during games.

"The reason for this event is that we recognize that 42% of people that attend our games are women and this event helps women understand the sport more and can use what they learned to every Silvertips game they attend, " mentions Silvertips Director in Marketing, Zoran Rajcic. " Our attendance has grown considerably this season and this event is another way for the Silvertips to give back to our great fan base here in the Everett area."

The real question is, of those 250 women, how did the guys decide how to split up the phone numbers?

The more fans the better, no matter who they are cheering for!
