well i'm sure that he hasnt had the cup on his own... you guys may be thinking of him getting it with Eric Staal...but that doesnt count as his turn with the cup ....http://www.hhof.com/html/exSCJ06_08.shtml .that might be what your thinking of .. and i havent seen his name in the stanley cup journal on his own yet ..so if you know when he will have it on his own..and if he is brining it to red deer..please post somthing :)

He was on CFCN on Wednesday with a few pics of his wife and he stated that he would have the Cup in a couple of weeks in Sherwood Park and into Edmonton, no mention of Red Deer !!

This email was sent out to all Sherwood Park Kings hockey players:

"Cam Ward, Recipient of the 2006 Conn Smythe Trophy and Goalie of the 2006 Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and former resident of Sherwood Park will be bringing both the Conn Smythe Trophy and Stanley Cup to the Sherwood Park Arena

Monday, August 21, 2006 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm.

Bring your camera and come on down to congratulate Cam and see these awesome Trophies up close and personal."

Not sure about where in Edmonton it's going to be, but he only gets it for 24 hours so he's probably trying to get it around as much as humanly possible. Cam trains with the same trainer as my son, he's had the Conn Smythe there for everyone to see a few times.

I was sooo excited because i thought he would bring it to red deer..but i just thought that he'd rather have it in his hometown

but oh well ... i hope he come down some time soon :frog:

Red Deer is like a second hometown to Cam probly..and i know lots of people that would have loved seeing him ..but anyway i still got lots of stuff signed by him :)
