San Jose Sharks: Sharks Invite Tri-City F Erik Felde to Training Camp
August 17, 2006SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed Tri-City Americans forward Erik Felde to an NHL Amateur Tryout Agreement.
Felde is scheduled to participate with Sharks rookie players in the “Pacific Division Shootout” against the top prospects from the Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and Phoenix Coyotes. The tournament, hosted this year by Los Angeles, is scheduled for Sept. 8-12 in El Segundo, Calif.
"We’ve spent a lot of time watching Erik and are excited to have him join us for the Pacific Division Shootout,” said Wilson.
Felde spent last season with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL, where he was highest scoring defenseman in the BCHL, adding 96 points (43 goals, 53 assists) in 71 games.
In the 2005-2006 season, Felde played both defense and forward but will likely play forward during his career
