Former ICE player Kris Knoblauch played two seasons with the Edmonton ICE and one here in Cranbrook for the Kootenay ICE from '96 to '99 before being traded to the Hurricanes. Before coming to Edmonton in a trade in '96-'97 he played 1 year in Red Deer for the Rebels.

Kris has decided to hang up the skates after five seasons with the U of Alberta as well as the Austin Ice Bats of the CHL in the U.S. He now becomes the newest member of the PA Raiders but now behind the bench as the assistant coach instead of on it.

Kris has had some great season over his playing days and has put up some pretty steady numbers every year where ever he went. You guys are lucky to get a guy like him with his work ethic and skill to help you guys along.

I have one single Edmonton ICE game worn jersey after all the years collecting jerseys and it happens to be his. how cool is that!

Congrats to Kris on a huge step into a great carreer! I hope he shares much success with your club over the years. Just not against the ICE! LOL.
