in the east division nobody is loaded in every area. brandon easily has best goaltending, they have a good defense and they're ok up front. regina has good defense but not much else. saskatoon has good forwards but they are suspect after that. moose jaw is well balanced, they're pretty good up front, their defense returns fairly intact. prince albert is going to be disasterous. they underachieved last year and now their best players are gone. at this early point of the year predicts the eastern conference representative in the league final comes from either calgary or medicine hat. medicine hat has a lot of speed and stricter enforcement of the rules only helps them, the defense is solid with kris russell. calgary has a group of forwards who have developed and been brought along together. kootenay could percolate towards the top as they are well coached and every year seem to prove the pundits wrong. red deer with the addition of hanzel could have the rebuilding time table sped up. In the western conference everett is going to roll over everybody. The silvertips are clearly the best team, depending on what vancouver does to upgrade their team with hosting the memorial cup. his early league final prediction is everett vs either calgary or medicine hat.
